Interesting. It’s very hard to do though! I have to practice becoming ruthless with my own work, so I leave it for weeks before attempting to edit.
One of the most valuable skills to learn as I writer, as I have learned, is the art of deleting. But doing it, and even learning to do it, is very hard. I do agree.
Colette has a much more catchy way of saying ‘Kill your darlings’.
