Besides questioning the “what if” of our world today, science fiction apparently has a lot of other things to offer.
Science fiction films are not about science. They are about disaster, which is one of the oldest subjects of art.
But it’s not all hopeless.
Science fiction writers foresee the inevitable, and although problems and catastrophes may be inevitable, solutions are not.
